Matthew Henry’s “Method For Prayer”

Thank God for the Wonderful Incarnation of the Son of God

Thanksgiving 4.15 | NASB

For the wonderful and mysterious incarnation of the Son of God and His coming into the world.

I bless You that when the fullness of time came, You sent forth Your Son, born of a woman, born under the Law, so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that Your people might receive the adoption as sons. Galatians 4:4-5(NASB)

That the eternal Word became flesh and dwelt among men, and there were those who saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14(NASB) By common confession, great is the mystery of godliness, that God was revealed in the flesh. 1 Timothy 3:16(NASB)

I bless You that for this He was born and for this He came into the world, to testify to the truth; John 18:37(NASB) and I believe and have come to know that He is the Christ, the Holy One of God; John 6:69(NASB) that it is He who should come, and I am to look for no other.

I bless You that the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost; Luke 19:10(NASB) that He has come that I might have life, and have it abundantly; John 10:10(NASB) and that the Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8(NASB)

Lord, I receive it as a trustworthy saying, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, even the foremost. 1 Timothy 1:15(NASB)

I bless You that since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same: Hebrews 2:14(NASB) That He does not give help to angels, but to His people, and was made like His brethren in all things, so that He might become a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people; Hebrews 2:16-17(NASB) and that He is not ashamed to call them brethren. Hebrews 2:11(NASB)

And that the firstborn was brought into the world with a charge given to all the angels of God to worship Him. Hebrews 1:6(NASB)
