Petition 3.3 | KJV
The merit and righteousness of my Lord Jesus Christ, which I rely upon as my main plea in my petition for the pardon of sin.
I know that as thou art gracious and merciful, so thou art the righteous God that loveth righteousness, Psalm 11:7(KJV) and wilt by no means clear the guilty. Exodus 34:7(KJV) I cannot say, Have patience with me and I will pay thee all, Matthew 18:26(KJV) for I am as an unclean thing, and all my righteousness is as filthy rags.
