We must pray for grace to direct and quicken us to, and to strengthen and assist us in, our duty, in the whole course of our life.
Let the grace of God, which has appeared, bringing salvation for me and for all people, effectually train me to renounce all ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live a self-controlled, upright, and godly life in this present age, waiting for the blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of my great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for his people to redeem them from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.
